Who we are looking for:

Interchange is a mission-based business funded through the NDIS to help people with disability live a good life.  Working with the Executive and Leadership teams, the Chief Financial Officer leads the teams and functions of finance, risk, compliance, human resources, procurement, and information technology to meet our operational needs and strategic objectives.

The Chief Financial Officer leads a corporate team that helps our service delivery staff to get access to the information, systems and support they need to feel valued, keep safe and to do great things.  Following a successful merger in December 2024 where we integrated the Supported Independent Living services into our service offer, we are in an exciting periodic of change to continue to integrate our people, systems and processes.

Whilst the role is based in our Head Office in Belmont, Interchange is committed to flexible work strategies that achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.  The key focus of the Chief Financial Officer is to develop and implement strategic plans that are aligned to our organisational goals and risk appetite, support and empower our people to be effective and efficient, create new business opportunities, lead the preparation of annual budget reporting, provide values-based leadership, and help us achieve our goals and long term future.

What do you need to apply? (Selection Critieria)

  • A relevant tertiary qualification and CPA/CA membership alongside significant proven experience in an accounting field.
  • Proven experience managing a corporate services, technology, and finance team.
  • Knowledge and experience in corporate risk and compliance.
  • Mature interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work as a member of an Executive team and provide advice to a Board.
  • A demonstrated commitment to the culture, values, vision and mission of Interchange.
  • Experience working in a not-for-profit human services organisation is not essential, but desirable.
