We’re seeking a proactive HR Coordinator to support the full employee lifecycle and help drive a positive organisational culture. Working closely with the HR Manager, you’ll coordinate key HR functions, ensure compliance, and contribute to workforce engagement and wellbeing.
This is a permanent full-time position based in Belmont (with some travel required to Mandurah). Flexible working opportunities will be considered.

Key responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes, ensuring timely and values-based hiring.
- Maintain and update employment contracts, position descriptions, and HR documentation.
- Support HRIS implementation and ongoing system maintenance, including data entry and user training.
- Provide informed HR advice aligned with employment law, policies, and best practices.
- Manage compliance requirements including WWCC, NDIS Clearance, and working rights.
- Coordinate training needs analysis, learning pathways, and corporate training logistics.
- Oversee workplace health and safety initiatives, including incident reporting and committee coordination.
- Manage Workers Compensation claims and support return-to-work programs.
- Monitor and report on HR metrics, compliance audits, and workforce trends.
- Champion organisational culture, continuous improvement, and uphold values of Respect, Empowerment, Individuality, and Belonging.
What You’ll Bring
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources and/or equivalent professional experience.
- Sound knowledge of the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards, and experience interpreting EBAs or awards (SCHADS award experience desirable).
- Demonstrated understanding and application of contemporary HR practices and strategies.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in HR systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships and influence workplace culture.
- Commitment to Interchange’s values, vision, and mission, with the ability to work respectfully with people with disability and their supporters.
- Knowledge of the disability or not-for-profit sector (highly desirable)
